The Patrician Primary School is the home to Newbridge’s only juvenile brass band.
With both a senior band (5th and 6th class) and a junior band (4th class), the children of the Patrician Primary School have the unique and rewarding opportunity to learn a variety of instruments, such as the bagpipes, trumpet, trombone, glockenspiel and marching drums.
Led by bandmaster, Mr. Cormac O’Shea, the band has been a staple of the local community for 25 years.
The band has also had the privilege of playing annually in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and other local festivals, while also leading out both Moorefield and Sarsfields in senior county finals.
The senior band practice every Monday, 15:00 – 15:45.
The junior band practice every Tuesday, 15:00 – 15:45.
